CAMPUS RULES & COMMUNITY GUIDELINES
Effective Date: September 2026 • Last Updated: September 2026
SnagIt exists to help verified students buy, sell, and rent within their own campus community. These Campus Rules apply to every listing, transaction, and interaction on the Platform, in addition to our Terms & Conditions. Violating these rules can result in listing removal, account suspension, or a permanent ban.
1. Who Can Use SnagIt
1.1 You must be a currently enrolled student (or staff/faculty, where permitted) at a partner campus, verified through your institutional email ID.
1.2 One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to evade a suspension, manipulate ratings, or bypass listing limits is not allowed.
1.3 Accounts are personal and non-transferable.
2. Prohibited Items
The following may never be listed for sale or rent on SnagIt, regardless of category:
- Weapons of any kind (firearms, knives beyond ordinary kitchen/utility use, ammunition, replicas)
- Drugs, controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia
- Alcohol and tobacco products
- Stolen, counterfeit, or unauthorised replica goods
- Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials (chemicals, gas cylinders, fireworks)
- Live animals or animal parts
- Adult, sexually explicit, or obscene content/items
- Government-issued IDs, admit cards, certificates, or other official documents
- Prescription medication or medical devices
- Any item that is illegal to sell, rent, or possess under Indian law or your institution's code of conduct
3. Restricted Items (Allowed With Conditions)
- Electronics: Must be listed with true working condition, known defects, and original accessories disclosed.
- Lab/medical equipment (e.g., stethoscopes, dissection kits): Must comply with your department's usage guidelines; SnagIt does not verify calibration or medical fitness.
- Vehicles (bicycles, scooters): Must include registration status (if applicable); SnagIt does not facilitate ownership transfer paperwork.
- Costumes/props for events: Allowed for rent, subject to your institution's event policies.
4. Academic Integrity
4.1 SnagIt has zero tolerance for the sale, rent, or exchange of academic dishonesty materials, including but not limited to leaked question papers or impersonation services.
4.2 Listings of second-hand textbooks, notes you authored yourself, or lab manuals are permitted, provided they don't include another student's personal answers or graded work without that student's consent.
5. Listing Conduct
5.1 List only items you genuinely own (for sale) or are authorised to rent out.
5.2 Use accurate photos and honest descriptions of condition, defects, and included accessories.
5.3 Price items in good faith. Artificially inflating prices before a “discount,” or repeatedly relisting to manipulate visibility, is not allowed.
5.4 Do not list the same item across multiple duplicate accounts.
6. Delivery & Pickup Etiquette
6.1 Be available at the agreed time and location for SnagIt's delivery team. Repeated no-shows may result in delivery charges or booking cancellation as per our Shipping & Delivery Policy.
6.2 Treat SnagIt delivery staff and fellow students with courtesy. Abuse, threats, or harassment of delivery personnel will result in immediate account suspension.
6.3 Pack rental items and sold items appropriately (e.g., protective covers for electronics) before handover to SnagIt for delivery.
7. Respectful Conduct
7.1 No harassment, discrimination, hate speech, ragging-related content, or threatening behaviour toward other users, whether in listings, messages, reviews, or disputes.
7.2 No spam, solicitation for services outside the Platform's scope, or attempts to move transactions off-platform to avoid SnagIt's payment protection and fees.
7.3 Leave honest, respectful reviews. Fake reviews (for yourself or against a competitor/rival user) are prohibited.
8. Safety
8.1 Since SnagIt manages delivery, you should never need to meet a stranger in person to complete a transaction. If anyone asks you to bypass SnagIt's delivery process for an off-platform handover, please report it immediately — this is against our rules and increases your risk.
8.2 Report any item received that appears unsafe, damaged in a way that could cause injury, or materially different from its listing.
9. Enforcement
9.1 Violations are handled on a graduated basis depending on severity:
- Minor (e.g., inaccurate listing, late pickup): Warning and listing correction/removal.
- Moderate (e.g., repeated policy violations, disrespectful conduct): Temporary account suspension.
- Severe (e.g., prohibited items, fraud, harassment, safety threats): Immediate and permanent account ban, and referral to your institution and/or law enforcement where required.
9.2 SnagIt reserves the right to remove any listing or suspend any account at its discretion to protect the safety and integrity of the community, in line with our Terms & Conditions.
10. Reporting a Violation
If you see a listing or experience conduct that violates these rules, report it via the "Report" option on the listing/profile, or contact us directly:
Email: info@snagit.in
Phone: +91 87668 09807
We review reports within 48 hours and will follow up with the reporting user where appropriate.
11. Changes to These Rules
We may update these Campus Rules from time to time as our community grows. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated rules.
